Single deck buses like this are used to suppliment the high passenger demand of Serivce 983 during peak periods. Since the mass adoption of electric buses in end-2025, that role was mainly filled in by BYD buses. The bus (SMB233E) was transferred to Tower Transit in early 2026 as the depot makes way for more electric buses.
